Flagstone Efflorescence Removed

Problem: Badly Damaged Flagstone

A homeowner in Potomac Falls, Virginia had a flagstone walkway to their home that was distressed and had severe efflorescence. Efflorescene (which means "to flower out" in French) is the migration of a salt to the surface of a porous material, where it forms a coating.

Our Solution

The experts at Potomac Stonecare used a combination of undamaging chemicals to remove the mold and unsightly whitening from the efflorescence. After, the surface was cleaned and sealed to make it easier to clean and keep it looking beautiful for years to come. Notice how clean and even the colors look in the AFTER images.
